Early Nutritional Intervention is Recommended for Cancer Patients

Traditionally, nutritional support has been recommended after a patient has lost 10% body weight, but experts now recommend intervening much sooner.
Studies have shown ( MDAndersen Cancer Center) that patients with 5% loss in body weight have decreased survival rate, can't negotiate/ tolerate chemo/radiation and that the side effects are usually increased.
These carefuly designed Nutritional Infusions remove the burden of the cancer patient to eat their way to wellness. Its like asking them to dig an olympic size pool with a spoon...The infusions assist in that task in backhoe fashion. We feed them intravenously so they can heal and negotiate the treatment as well and increasing the chances of survival and management of the disease....which is the goal.
